Some good teachers quote prices online or over the phone. I don't do this, as I tailor my work to suit each individual.

*   The optimum length of lesson varies from person to person

*   Lessons not on a weekly schedule may tend to cost more

*   I try to help home educating families and those who have home education in mind

*   A pupil may need special support behind the scenes

*   A family discount may apply

*   Time of day may be a factor - demand peaks at tea-time

*   Initial and one-off meetings cost nothing.

In spite of these and other factors, I can say as a guide that the average price of a lesson is about £20 and the average length is 45-50 minutes, with shorter lessons costing less.
